ADVANTAGE Advisory was born from nearly two decades of working with, advising, and learning from opportunities and challenges faced by global organizational leaders and their teams. Experienced in both theory and practice as an operator, facilitator, and global advisor, through our platform, we bring depth and insights gained from work and proximity to best-in-class business practices rooted in the work of world-class scholars and practitioners of the Harvard Business School, where the Firm principal has both studied and served as an Officer and Director in the division of Executive Education.
The Firm’s mission is to help leaders and teams achieve high(er) levels of performance, and to help strategically align and optimize their human capital capabilities toward a clear set of operational objectives. We build competence and confidence in the leaders and teams we touch.
Our engagements center on building learning paths for managers, senior leaders, and their teams striving to better themselves and their organizational impact. Regardless of size and scope, all leaders (and teams) face the same challenge of optimizing human capital capacity matched toward achieving clear and widely understood organizational objectives. This “talent” and “culture” matching and optimization is the Firm goal. We live by the mantra, “Don’t manage your people; manage the backdrop against which they work.” This rings true to our approach to advising leaders and teams toward peak performance.
Prior to leading Harvard Business School’s Owner Managed Program Portfolio, Dobbin served ten years as a director and advisor at Harvard. ADVANTAGE Advisory has worked extensively across global sectors, including Healthcare, Finance, Private Equity/Venture Capital, Energy, Real Estate, Telecom, Government, and Hospitality.

Roderic has over 25 years of experience originating and structuring innovative capital solutions, leading investors into new markets and working with diverse teams to build successful cross-border businesses. Roderic launched and served as Senior Country Officer for JPMorgan's Ghana office, covering West Africa (ex-Nigeria); was a pioneer team member of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC); and, more recently, led a team responsible for resource mobilization, governance and oversight for the Africa Development Bank's non-statutory financing vehicle.
Roderic also has a long-standing passion for education. He is co-founder of the United World Colleges Togo National Committee. He previously served as a Trustee for the French American School of NY and a Director for the Harvard Cooperative Society (COOP). He received a bachelor of arts degree from Morehouse College and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins SAIS and Harvard Business School.
